comet-ms software package provides Tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) search engine, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install comet-ms
comet-ms is installed in your system.
Make ensure the comet-ms package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep comet-ms *
You will get with comet-ms package name, version, architecture and description in a table
